“Gbenga, get young people together, I have left it for the young generation”. Those were the words of Wole Soyinka to me on Nigeria’s lingering problem I sought out his assistance to solve which inspired the incorporation of these ideas into what is now a sociocultural group. Our core goal is the creation of a new philosophy for the cultural stability of Yoruba people, our immediate communities and putting those new ideas into practice. While it might appear counterintuitive to put what we claim will be of great benefits to the whole world in a single cultural entity with tribal priorities, it would be a mistake to assume anything could truly be in an individual’s favor or an ethnicities’ favor and it isn’t in everyone’s favor. Values of reason, culture and tradition espoused by Omele are positive sum values. Reason implies following logic, being grounded in human nature which is universal, abstracting from history and culture to establish a guiding principle for the organisation of society.
